Especially the Yoda Garden!!
Don't mess...
In another man's (one's) garden!!
All settled into the new apartment here. The car got a new engine. I bought a black and white laser printer today with the hopes of doing some music arranging and eventually composing. I really haven't done music in over seven years now. Hopefully Ena will want to come along for the ride, on two wheels of course!
Well, everything kind of fell apart here in the late winter and early summer. I'm going to miss my daily cribbage and coffee partner and wife!!! Not to mention the girls.
I have not posted in so long! Oh MY!
We've been snowed in for so long, my brain is turning to mush.
Well, Rando is acting quite strange. He is trying to make friends for us. It's really tripping me out, because I'm used to him being so hermit-like all the time.
We've been inside our little neighborhood for almost a week. I think we are going to venture out today.
Oh, Rand got on the trainer and exercised for 30 minutes ON PURPOSE!!
I just don't know what to say about my husband, except that I'm astonshed!
More snow. We had six to eight inches of snow yesterday and a quarter inch of ice on top of it. They had predicted ice all day today, but the warm air is getting pushed back. It is in the lower 20's today. It is snowing really hard again. I wouldn't be surprised if we get six more inches tonight!
Yoda's big entrance
Yoda is not my right hand cat anymore. She gave it up for the big entrance. Whenever we open a door to let her in, she comes running through the door meowing. And then of course she begs for food, every time even if there is food in her bowl. Crazy Yoda.
Well, Fall is definitely here. I'm almost done with Fablevision. I've got a new contract with Grand and Benedict's commercial fixtures company. They make display furniture for shopping centers and stuff like that. I'm making a Flash site for them. John Phillips is their CEO. He played alto sax in our high school band!
I just got a second monitor to work with my laptop. Damn, it makes some tasks much easier to do. I can see that it would be very hard going back to just one monitor. It's a lot more like working on paper because you can view multiple sheets at the same time. I've done a lot of programming on paper, so this is a welcome change.
Summer is flying by. Ena is training to do the hundred mile ride in the Portland Century. She biked 64 miles on Friday and more that 40 on Sunday. I finally finished my collision detection program. I've put a lot of hours into that and it works beautifully. I'm trying to make a music mixing program next. I'm working on making another list box for that program. The cats are doing good. Ena is still working at the bike store. I had a great time with Grandma and Robert a couple days ago. I love you Ena!
Hey hey hey! I've put up some wedding pictures. Our California trip went well. It was so good to spend some quality time with Ena's side of the family. We've been working on settling our debts. The big picture looks much better than we originally thought. I think we'll be looking into buying a house in just a few years.
Wow. Ena and I were on cloud nine all day! Thank you all so much for a wonderful party. It was so much fun playing with Sam and Marc at the same time. It was a great start to our married life adventure.
Ooooh! We had such a great wedding day! It was so perfect. The weather was beautiful, so we got to have the wedding outdoors. It's the day after and I want to have our wedding day all over again.
Thank you to everyone who spoiled us with all their love, gifts, assistance and everything!
We love you all very much and want you all to know that the first 24 hours of our marriage has gone wonderfully!
Well, we are just about ready! But, I've got to tell you. I has been hard putting the other parts of my life on the back-burner. My business and many other areas of my life has suffered from the lack of attention.
Rand and I are so excited about seeing everyone this weekend. I think we've put together a pretty damn good party. Doing the finishing touches, making sure we've done it all.
Thanks so much for all your support and love. I hope you enjoy our celebration this weekend. We are going to have a great time and be glad when it's all over, so we can have a spare moment to ourselves.
I'm ready to soak it all in!
Oh my goodness! It's not easy being this popular. This morning, I was snuggling with Carmencita in bed. She gets under the covers and we pet each other and kiss. Anyway, Sydney came along and beckoned me and I pet her with my available hand. Well, Carmen jumped out of bed, swatted her sister and ran her off!
This happened the other day when I was watching TV with Sydney and Yoda wanted to snuggle me and took over.
Then, last week at Kindermusik, humans did the same thing. I was with Aurelia and Madeline decided she wanted me and they started to hit each other! Oh my god!
What is going on? I thought I was bringing peace into this world and now wars are starting over me. If only I could have had this effect on men....
Hey Everybody! Check out what Rand made! He is such a genius!

I found it very difficult to keep myself composed as a man in bike class at the gym was harping that bikes need to stay off the road. "Bikes don't pay taxes on the road", he said.
I won't get into the whole thing, but while I was in class, I was chanting and trying to calm myself remembering that he is also a Buddha (he has a belly like one)!
I realized that I need to be spending as much time in front of my gohonzon as I do on my bike!
Yes, I am a loser! The loser of 8 pounds and I'll be damned if I want to find it again.
You may think I'm crazy to exercise like I do, but miracles happen and this is what it takes for me to lose weight. The great thing is that I lost it over two months, which is a very healthy one pound per week.
So, where's that coffee cake?
WEll! Invites are in the mail! Please, please, please respond in time so that I may get my list in tip-top shape. Many folks have gotten left out and would like to come in place of those who cannot make it.
I hope you like the all the hand-made creativity involved in making the invitations.
Next, project....wedding favors. There is so much to do. I need a personal assistant!
The wedding is getting near. The invitations are made and we are checking our list to make sure we got everybody! And starting to look for musicians for the big day.
Who knew when I met Rando that I would someday have this mother-in-law like Carmen?
Wow! I think Rando is awesome, but now I see where he gets half of what makes him so awesome. Rand's family is such a special gift. Like him, they are quiet, gentle people. His Aunt Pat, is actually a little more like me...she seems to speak up about things and makes some noise. What about his grandmother, Marguerite? Oh my goodness, she is such a beautiful woman so full of poise and grace. She teaches me that you don't have to have a big booming voice to be strong. I am so honored to be part of this family. I also want to say how much I love my new brother, Geoff , sister Shelly and niece, Heidi.
Carmen is the reason we are able to share this wedding with you. Things have been tight and her help is so remarkable and appreciated. It's the highest compliment to us. The fact that she puts her love behind Rand and I says so much to me. I'm starting to cry now.
I know that my mom would just love these wonderful people too. As well, I hear that Rand's father, Mike had quite a sense of humor and that he would like me. Hey! He was a cat guy! Men who like cats are awesome in my book! He ate cake with his kitty like Rand eats cake with Yoda!
I've been sick all week! I asked the universe for a little something to keep me at home for a few days and boy, did I get what I asked for. I have no complaints. It's been good for me to get away this week. It rejuvenates my passion for music, teaching and training for this triathlon. I haven't worked out, except for a walk on Wednesday that got my blood pumping.
It's taken a lot of growth and wisdom to get to this point without hating myself. Yes, I am addicted to the high of brain chemicals from working out. I am also addicted to my fears of being fat and diseased like my father. But, caring for myself is first and foremost in this life, so when it's time to rest, I rest.
We are all moved in! Snug as a bug in a rug. The place is actually a little bit nicer that what we had expected. We we looked at it, the previous tenant was still living in it and it was full of stuff. We didn't really get to see what the closets looked like. What sold us on the apartment were the location and the nice large living room. There are nice hardwood floors in that room.
And we got comcast all hooked up right now on Sunday evening. Yoda and Sydney have been hiding together under the bed. Their fears have brought them together. Carmen rules the house, but I'm sure Yoda will take over soon. I bought a nice lockset since the owner was not going to re-key the locks. I splurged and got exactly what I wanted. The locks feel great. We are going to watch some Animal Planet now. Weeee...
I know it may sound a bit crazy because Rand and I are not married yet. We haven't even moved into our new place. I think it may be hormonal changes in us, but we are talking about whether we want to be parents in the next couple years. Rand would be a great dad and I would be the best mom in the world. Ok, not the best....there is Carmen and Beverly and they are the best moms. But, you catch my drift. I guess what I'm wresting with is the why and the reasons for having a child. Anyway, feel free to send an email with your comments and if you like I will post it here.
Thanks!
C'est ici!
Hey hey hey!
So, were going through all our crap and sending some to goodwill and packing the rest.
I think we decided to rent a uhaul so that our friends do not have to bother with spending their gas.
We plan on moving on Saturday, February 2nd....yes, groundhog day! If you can help, we will be happy to buy you a meal for your hard work. Maybe we'll all go out to breakfast.
Anyway, if you can help, send along an email.
I'm doing pretty well dealing with Rand's pack-rat self.
Ena and I are moving to St. John's on February 2nd. Ground hog's day!!! We are very excited about getting our first place together and I'm excited about biking to work everyday.
We are going to be on the second floor of a four-plex house. We have an interesting metal grating type of patio and staircase off the back of the house. It's going to be interesting to see if the cats are comfortable walking on it. We are very excited about being able to walk to a pub to get a beer and maybe some food. We can't wait to move!
Hey Everyone!
Today was an amazing day because I bought my gown! It was the second one I tried on. I felt like a gorgeous queen and the price was right, so I had to get it! Of course, Rand is not allowed to see the dress on me until I appear before him walking down a long aisle!
So, we've been doing some planning and I'm going to need some volunteers to help us.
We can have little committees, two people for each one. Decorating, food, cake, flowers, you know, stuff like that. We still have three and a half months, but I wanted to mention it so you all could think about it.
We will post on the wedding page soon the tasks that are already committed to.
Thanks for all your love and support!
Hugs, Ena
Hello and Happy New Year!
I'm excited that next month, we will be turning over to the year of the rat! 2008 is going to be an amazing year...I can feel it!
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone an amazing year. Things that happen in our lives are all neutral, they are effects based on causes we have made through thought, word and deed. The labels we put on these events is how we shape our lives.
I am so grateful for all of the challenges that 2007 brought into my life. Especially, the bike case. I'm so glad that I lost the case. It makes things difficult financially, but I've grown exponentially and see the world quite differently because of it.
Rand and I continue to be best friends and have found the places in our relationship that are very joyful and the very few that are challenging for us. I think 2007 was such a wonderful year also because Rand and I built the first foundation to our relationship. This foundation is strong and healthy, which I am so proud of.
I hope that good things come out of every situation for you. 2008 will be a wonderful year of new beginnings that we all can share together.
Rand is a wild and crazy guy!!!
Ah. With all this time off, I was able to make the gallery dynamic today. Adding pictures is very easy now.
Hello all! I'm really happy with the what's new page. Next up is making the photo gallery dynamic as well.
We're still looking for an apartment.
Hello Everyone! How was everyone's Christmas? I hope you are all well. Rand and I had a great holiday. We drove up north a bit to hang out with mom, grandma and robert and aunt pat. It was very nice.
We are looking forward to the new year and all the fun wedding stuff that is coming up!
You will probably get more blogs from me as Rand is a little weasel!
All the cats are fat and on a diet.
I have decided to be a 35 year old triathlete! I've been adding running and swimming to my usual biking routine. I'm hoping the be the awesome hard-bodied goddess I've always wanted to be. As long as I stay healthy, that is all that matters to me. I will let you all know when I'm going to be in some local competitions. I'm only interested in compeating with time....which I'm winning all ready!
Well, it's Rand and I's second Christmas together and I'm happy to say that we are still very much in love! The girls are well, especially Carmen who continues to find mice and bring them in the house! I had to catch a mouse at 5:30 am this morning. I'm happy to say that the mouse will live to spend Christmas with her family, half of which have already been eaten by Carmen and Yoda.
Rand and I are looking to get into a great new place in SE Portland. If this place works out, we'll let you know because we'll definitely need help moving! Anyway, Merry Christmas to all!
I love Rando!
hello world.
